    7.17 GB, downloading now.

If the Adobe store would just change my order from PENDING to SHIPPED, they could give me my serial number so I can change the trials over to full versions.

Hopefully doing so won’t miss out on anything they’d give you with the shipped product.

haven’t been able to download. And i have tried on both, a win 7 (64bit) and a vista (64bit) machine.

Has anyone been able to download?

  6. Aaron M. says:

    I’m about 97% downloaded right now on a Win7 x64 rig. It’s using a proprietary downloader rather than a browser-based file download.

    I’m using Firefox 3.5.x.

I’m hoping it prompts for old CS3 version uninstalls and cleanups on install.

  7. Aaron M. says:

Well, I successfully downloaded the Production Premium CS5 file.

Upon install it got to 47% extracted, and hard locked my PC. I really can’t tolerate software that hard locks my PC, because it runs the risk of corrupting files and the Operating System when you have to shut down the PC that way.

Look like I’m going to have to wait for this thing to ship.

Also, my order on changed and now says:

PENDING – Expected Arrival Date, Thursday, May 6, 2010

I don’t think that’s the “You’ll have it in your hands” date, because I selected 2-day shipping.

So it seems like, at the earliest, it will be May 10th, when I might get this in my hands and installed.

Oh, and FREE SHIPPING seems to be extended to May 31, 2010. (Sorry for consecutive posts, this blog needs an edit ability)

Seems like the 4/29/2010 Free Shipping “promo” was just a teaser to increase some sales.

Of course, there’s always the chance the website has bad info.

Ok, seems i am the only one with that problem.

At least I found an alternate way to download cs5 without using adobe’s download manager…

If anyone has the same problem and finds a better fix, please let me know…

I don’t get why Master Collection is 4.45GB and Production Premium is 7.15GB ??? Master Collection is more complete, it doesn’t make any sense :(

  14. Aaron M. says:

The software offers you standard in-browser download file links if you choose not to install the Download Manager.

I’m trying to D/L PSX:CS5 right now and I refused install of the manager, and the website provided me links that I’m downloading now.

Hopefully the install goes through more smoothly than the massive failure of the Production Premium Trial.

Trouble launching Indesign after installing mastersuite. The other programs work just fine, but Indesign just quit in the process of trying to start up. Why? What to do?

PSX:CS5 Installed, but stated that the install had failures. Program seems to run fine so far. You might want to just download the ID:CS5 install separately.

PSX:CS5 x64 starts from a cold start in freaking 4 seconds. Crazy!

Does no one have an answer as to why the Master Collection doesn’t seem like the Master Collection???

Why is the Master Collection much smaller in file size than Production Premium?

To Cowicide: I have not finishid my downloading of CS5 Master Collection yet, but I think that there might be some kinds of video templates or something like that in Production Premium. Web Premium is not of a big size too – 3.09gb (Win)

To Anonimo: Trials are expected be available in all supported languages in May 2010.

Oh, and let me be first to say that the video in this blog post COMPLETELY did not need to be posted online… ever.

What does an effeminate graphic designer singing songs about 64-bit have to do with anything entertaining?

Reminds me of this stupid video :

Don’t get me wrong, Photoshop is far and above my favorite piece of software, but I don’t take things to the creepy zone by singing songs about it or doing some over the top dramatic crap either.

Photoshop is the king because it’s damn good software.

  24. Aaron M. says:

Well it may not be a good thing. When I attempted to install Production Premium, my PC hard locked.

This might just be a localized problem; I have no idea when I’m going to get my Production Premium in my hands since the order still hasn’t even been processed by Adobe Store.

  25. Anonimo says:

What a pity that the only Spanish version is the Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium 5 because my pc is basic.
I have to wait, because my computer has:
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 @ 2 Ghz.
    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz PC2-6400 dual-channel branded Samsung.
HDD: 320 GB SATA II 3 Gb / s Western Digital.
Graphics Card: ECS Geforce 9400 GT with 512MB DDR2 nvidia driver v197.45
Optical Drive: LG SuperMulti DVD Burner 16x GH10L
    Motherboard: MSI MS-7525 Boston-GL6 G31 Express Chipset.
Operating system: Windows Vista SP2 (but 32-bit)

With this hardware would be a “bottleneck” with a 64-bit operating system (assuming).

The RAM is very expensive and and if I add a processor, best forgotten, as the operating system is divided opinion: some say “download and install activator,” but others “buy in a store,” the truth do not want any a, because the operating system install windows vista 64 bit or 7 according to the experience of many users a 4 GB DDR2 PC2-6400 dual-channel RAM.
Best wait for it to launch the Potoshop CS5 trial in Spanish and then test and then have the full version.

You can actually install CS5 on 2 different computers, they allow it.

  30. ddmorales says:

Alex: You sure about this? I have done this on CS4 but the thing that scared me is under CS5 FAQ:

Can I distribute a Creative Suite 5 edition across multiple users or computers?

No. The product license agreement for Creative Suite 5 does not allow you to install the components of a single suite edition across multiple computers. Refer to the End-User License Agreement for more details.

This I dont know if this was stated under CS4 also, and if it’s an aswer to more like “can I install it on every computer at work)” :)

    re: ddmorales

I’m not sure where I read it, but I certainly did, I just checked the FAQ and it does say only one, but I can’t find where I read 2. I know I saw it somewhere because thats why I remembered. It said somewhere many users have a desktop and a laptop so they’re allowed to have on both. I will try to find where I saw it.

    Hey people!

Just downloaded the PS CS5 trial and it looks fantastic!

I have one question for the moment:

Is the 3D menu disabled in the trial version? Because everything but “Browse 3D Content Online” and “Auto Hide Layer for Performance” is greyed out in the 3D menu!

This is my work computer and it runs Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2 on an AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-Core @ 2,70GHz, 4GB of RAM and a ATI Radeon HD 4350 with 512MB RAM. Shouldn’t be a problem should it…?

Can anyone explain where this greying out of the 3D features is coming from?

  33. Aaron M. says:

Are you working on 3D Objects in PS?

As with other commands that aren’t accessible or enabled at a given time, it merely means you cannot perform that action at that moment because your current document/selection doesn’t permit it.

Look at commands with no document open. Some are enabled, others are not (until you open a document) But some commands don’t need a document open.

    It’s known as context-sensitive menus.

Also, I downloaded and installed PSX:CS5. Did you download PS:CS5? It may have the menu but forcibly disable it, as that 3D/Analysis is one major feature difference between PS and PSX.

Nahh it was Extended what I downloaded. And I was following a tutorial that was posted on the Photoshop Facebook account, on 3D text.

I tried it at home and it worked fine. Reinstalled it here on my work computer and for some reason it’s fine now.

    Don’t know what happened :p

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is available in English, French and German.
But Spanish is not yet uploaded on the website of Adobe.
I hope that Spanish is not the last to be available for Photoshop

With regard to my computer can run Photoshop CS5 and earlier, but can not with Adobe Premier CS4 or CS5, or with the Adobe Creative Suites CS5, can only with Photoshop CS5 Extended. Thank you.
