On September 21st, Adobe announced the winner of the Next Photoshop Evangelist Competition. The winner’s name is Gavin Hoey. He is a “freelance photographer, writer and trainer of all things photographic” form West Sussex, UK. In summer 2010 Adobe announced beginning of the Next Photoshop Evangelist contest. Photoshop enthusiasts and professionals from all around the world could download their videos showing why they should become the next Photoshop Evangelists. This should have been a two-minute video tutorial, demonstrating capabilities of some new Adobe Photoshop CS5 features. One more requirement to the video was that it should have incorporated the concept of “20”. The number 20 was to be placed somewhere at the image, as a tribute to the Photoshop 20th anniversary. The first update for Adobe Photoshop CS5 is now available for download. Adobe Photoshop 12.0.1 update deals with a variety of bugs with performance, 64-bit Mac, User interface and more. You will be able to implement this update only if you are using a retail version of Photoshop CS5. Beta versions of the application will not be updated by Adobe Photoshop 12.0.1 updater.
